GERANIUM ROSAT
Introduced to Europe in the 17th century, geranium was first used for medicinal purposes. It was soon used in perfumery for the olfactory properties of its leaves and stems. It has a particularly fine pinkish fragrance, both sweet and powerful. It is distinguished from rose by its light green and lemony notes, which give it strength and character.
PANIER DES SENS has selected Pelargonium Graveolens, also known as Geranium Rosat, to embody the first fragrance in this iconic collection.

A veritable jewel of haute parfumerie, an absolute is the most precious essence of a plant's raw material. Like an elixir, an absolute is obtained by the extractive action of an organic solvent on a plant. Extraction begins with maceration of the plant to obtain what is known as a concrete.This solid concrete is then melted in alcohol to remove the insoluble waxes, while retaining all the pigments and essences. A final operation separates the alcohol from the fragrance: the result is the absolute, a dense, precious, highly concentrated liquid.
To further enrich this range of skincare products, olive oil, an emblematic raw material of the region, is at the heart of each formula.
