Extraction begins with the maceration of the plant to obtain what is called a concrete. This solid concrete is then melted in alcohol to remove the insoluble waxes while preserving all the pigments and essences. A final operation allows the alcohol to be separated from the perfumed substance: we then obtain the absolute, a dense, precious, extremely concentrated liquid.
