Sun Actinic ControlMD is a certified medical device for highly effective UVA and UVB protection to prevent actinic keratosis and non-melanoma skin cancer (also known as light skin cancer), and is suitable for adjunctive therapy in actinic keratosis.²
When UVB and UVA rays penetrate the nucleus of our outermost skin cells, the keratinocytes, they can directly damage the DNA. This increases the risk of developing actinic keratoses (the most common early form of skin cancer) and non-melanoma skin cancer. However, studies show that daily use of sunscreen can prevent the development of this skin condition: The very high efficacy of Sun Actinic ControlMD with SPF 100 is due to its very high sun protection factor. This very high SPF, combined with high UVA protection, protects the skin from both UVA and UVB radiation. With daily and regular use, a protective barrier is formed on the skin that absorbs and reflects rays, thus minimizing the risk of direct cell damage. This reduces the risk of actinic keratoses and skin cancer.²
