EUCERIN Hypersensitive Skin consists of two ranges: EUCERIN UltraSensitive and EUCERIN AntiRedness. These two ranges act on the 3 signs of hypersensitive skin: defective skin barrier function, hyper-reactivity of sensory fibres and redness. These 3 signs are known as the Triangle of Hypersensitive Skin.
The first, and most important, step in caring for hypersensitive skin is to ensure that it is cleansed effectively and without altering the already defective skin barrier or the hyper-reactive sensory fibres beneath it.
Since hypersensitive skin has a compromised skin barrier, it is more easily reactive and the sensory fibres in the epidermis are easily activated by stressors. This leads to discomfort on the skin, including a tingling or burning sensation.
UltraSensitive Cleansing Lotion cleanses hypersensitive skin (including skin that is prone to redness), and is formulated with a limited number of ingredients to minimise the risk of skin reactions.
UltraSensitive Cleansing Lotion contains no surfactants, and remains very gentle on the skin, yet powerful enough to remove make-up.

Sterile anti-contamination packaging
All EUCERIN Hypersensitive Skin products use sterile anti-contamination packaging to protect the formulas from impurities and oxidation.
This packaging acts on 3 risk areas: the valves, the connections between components and the dispensing outlet.
The valves have sterilisation filters; the connections are ultra-welded to promote sealing; and the dispensing outlet has an ultra-tight seal.

Clinical and dermatological studies prove high skin tolerance and excellent efficacy on hypersensitive skin and skin with a tendency to redness.
The effectiveness of EUCERIN UltraSensitive Cleansing Lotion was evaluated in clinical studies* with 53 women (19-60 years) with sensitive to very sensitive skin. The product was applied twice a day for 4 weeks, half-sided on the face.

How to use it
Because hypersensitive skin has a weakened skin barrier, it will allow potentially irritating agents to pass through more easily and the sensory fibres of the epidermis, which are hyper-reactive, will react to these agents. The purity of our formulas and their anti-contamination packaging help to minimise skin intolerance.
When skin is hypersensitive, the sensory fibres of the epidermis react faster and stronger than on normal skin, causing skin discomfort. Symsitive* is an ingredient that soothes highly sensitive skin and provides instant relief by acting on the sensory fibres. Since the sensory fibres of the epidermis are less reactive, they will respond less exaggeratedly to stressors. Over time, the tolerance threshold of hypersensitive skin increases and the skin is soothed.
Licochalcone A is a natural anti-oxidant ingredient that quickly calms the skin and visibly reduces redness. It soothes skin redness while increasing protection against cellular stress.
