HYALURON-FILLER Eye Contour SPF 15 targets the first signs of ageing such as crow's feet in the delicate eye area. It visibly plumps up even the deepest wrinkles for younger-looking skin. It effectively prevents UV-induced photoaging (premature skin aging due to the sun), prevents wrinkles from becoming deeper and protects the skin from free radicals.
Its unique formula combining high and low molecular weight Hyaluronic Acid, Glycine Saponin and Enoxolone offers a targeted approach to visibly fill in even the deepest wrinkles for younger looking skin. High molecular weight Hyaluronic Acid improves hydration and smoothes the upper layers of the skin while low molecular weight Hyaluronic Acid, which is 40 times smaller**, penetrates deeper into the layers of the epidermis where deeper wrinkles are created. Glycine Saponin, an anti-oxidant, supports the production of Hyaluronic Acid in the skin layer where the deepest wrinkles form and protects against free radicals. Enoxolone prevents the degradation of Hyaluronic Acid in the skin.

Glycine Saponin
Glycine Saponin, also known as Glycine Soybean Germ Extract, is an active ingredient extracted from the soybean. It is one of the most effective stimulators of Hyaluronic Acid in the skin's dermal layer cells and has been shown to increase the production of Hyaluronic Acid at the cellular level*.

Hyaluronic Acid
Hyaluronic acid is formed by skin cells and is part of the skin's connective tissue. One of its key functions is to retain moisture, and it has the ability to hold between 1,000 and 10,000 times its own weight in water (i.e. one gram of Hyaluronic Acid holds between one and ten litres of water). As the skin ages, the skin's natural ability to produce Hyaluronic Acid is depleted and wrinkles begin to form and become deeper.

Enoxolone
Enoxolone, also known as Glycyrrhetinic Acid, is derived from the roots of Chinese liquorice plants. It inhibits the Hyaluronic Acid degrading enzyme, Hyaluronidase (HYAL1), and therefore reduces the breakdown of Hyaluronic Acid in the skin.

How it works
At the heart of Eucerin's unique HYALURON-FILLER + 3x EFFECT formula is a unique combination of high and low molecular weight Hyaluronic Acid:
- High Molecular Weight Hyaluronic Acid (also known as Long Chain Hyaluronic Acid) remains on the surface of the skin to improve hydration of the outermost layer of the epidermis where fine lines and wrinkles originate.
- Low molecular weight Hyaluronic Acid molecules (also known as Short Chain Hyaluronic Acid) are 40 times smaller1 than those of High Molecular Weight Hyaluronic Acid and are therefore able to penetrate further into the epidermal layers, where they stimulate the skin's production of hyaluronic acid.
In most formulas, Hyaluronic Acid is combined with the bio-active antioxidant Glycine Saponin which penetrates even deeper into the dermal layers of the skin, stimulating the production of Hyaluronic Acid and replenishing the moisture that causes deeper wrinkles. In addition, it protects the skin from free radicals.
The new HYALURON-FILLER + 3x EFFECT formula also contains Enoxolone, an active ingredient that slows the rate of Hyaluronic Acid breakdown in the skin by inhibiting Hyaluronidase.
The result: 200% more Hyaluronic Acid.
