Our skin works hard to protect our body, but as a result it can sometimes become very dry, cracked* and irritated. It needs an SOS treatment.
Eucerin Aquaphor Skin Repair Balm gives dry to very dry, cracked* and irritated skin the SOS care it needs. The water-free balm forms a soft, semi-occlusive, protective barrier on the skin that promotes the natural transfer of water vapour and oxygen to and from the skin, allowing the skin to "breathe" and strengthen its natural protective barrier. Aquaphor Balm is enriched with glycerin and panthenol. Glycerin is an effective moisturiser that attracts water and helps hold it in the skin. It works alongside panthenol to help accelerate regeneration and repair while hydrating the skin.
Fragrance and preservative free, Eucerin Aquaphor Repair Balm is clinically and dermatologically proven to repair very dry, cracked* and irritated skin. Suitable for body and face.
The soothing, transparent balm is easy to apply and is applied by gently massaging into problem skin areas such as knees and elbows, joints, cuticles and cracked heels*. With few ingredients, it is well tolerated by sensitive skin and is suitable for babies and children as well as skin irritations after superficial dermatological procedures such as laser treatments and chemical peels and can be applied to sun damaged skin. The skin is regenerated, protected and repaired.
Eucerin Aquaphor Repair Balm should only be used on re-epithelialised skin (i.e. when new tissue has formed) and not on open, wet or bleeding wounds. Ask your dermatologist for advice on how long to wait after treatment before using the product.

Clinical and dermatological studies on Eucerin Aquaphor demonstrate its effectiveness (overall and on specific parts of the body) and its cutaneous tolerance (overall and non-comedogenic).
Overall efficacy
A 10-day clinical trial on a sample of 25 people aged between 18 and 50 years showed that Eucerin Aquaphor Repair Balm significantly improved the time needed for skin regeneration.
Effective in treating dry, rough and cracked skin* on the hands
In another 7-day clinical study, a sample of 17 people applied Eucerin Aquaphor regularly to one hand while leaving the other hand as a control. The study measured the results clinically using a corneometer (a scientific instrument used to measure skin hydration) and also gathered feedback from respondents. The results showed that:
the Balm provides a statistically significant and noticeable overnight improvement to the skin on dry hands
with regular use over seven days the skin condition continues to improve

Overall Tolerability
A tolerability study conducted on a sample of 202 people aged 17 to 65 revealed no allergic reactions to the product and demonstrated its excellent tolerance.
Non-comedogenic
In another test, a sample of 27 people aged between 19 and 55 used the product at least once a day for four weeks. The dermatologists who evaluated the results concluded that the balm is non-comedogenic.

Directions for use
Apply as often as necessary to the affected areas.
A dab of product is normally sufficient for both hands. A small amount of the product is roughly suitable for problem areas of baby's skin and a slightly larger amount is ideal for each of your feet.
Massage it into the skin with your fingertips. The ointment spreads easily when it warms up.
Do not use on open, bleeding or wet wounds. Wait until the skin has re-epithelialised before using the product.
