This Eau de Cologne Gourmande, Eau Vanillée, is refreshing and sunny, close to our traditional and generous universe. Our extra touch? It is the work of Cologne from a subtle gourmand angle. Among the four olfactory universes that are the source of our inspiration (Traditionnelles Vanilles, Carnet de Voyage, Souvenirs d'Enfance, le Verger), Eau Vanillée was a natural choice in the Traditionnelle Vanille family.
We wanted to respect the very essence of an Eau de Cologne... An Eau, with authentic notes, intended for both men and women. A light concentration allowing all the uses that have been attributed to it for generations: to delicately perfume your wardrobes, your sheets and your little handkerchiefs. Give a fresh touch to your clothes by adding a few drops of eau de cologne to your washing machine or iron... Those with a sweet tooth can even perfume their bath water for a moment of relaxation and pure delight.
For nearly 4 centuries, we have attributed unique benefits to Eau de Cologne: it disinfected and purified food and the body. Its scent was known to invigorate the body and mind!
Several works mention the original recipe for Eau de Cologne. But it was in 1788 that Jean-Marie Farina, a famous Italian perfumer, officially inherited its creation and became the owner of this water still called Eau de Cologne today. Star at the Court, Louis XV, Louis XVI and Napoleon were faithful users. Napoleon used to rub himself with Jean-Marie Farina's Eau de Cologne and believed in its coup de fouet and cerebral stimulating properties. He carried it with him everywhere in bottles!
This Eau de Cologne is made of 97% natural ingredients.
We select pure and high quality ingredients from the surrounding nature and natural vanilla extracts from Madagascar, Mexico or India. Combined with a 100% natural alcohol, guaranteed without phthalate, to obtain compositions with sincere, authentic notes that come to life on the skin.
In keeping with tradition, 21 days of maceration are necessary to allow the subtle combination of fruits, spices, flowers and alcohol. This temperature-controlled ageing allows for a balanced olfactory construction. Particular care is also taken during the glazing and filtration stages, which determine the stability and consistency of the compositions over time.
