Anti-stretch mark oil
Our skin is regularly subjected to various types of stress. Thanks to its elastic and stretchable structure, it generally resists mechanical stress. But under certain circumstances, it reaches its limits. If it is stretched too much - for example, during pregnancy or during periods of weight gain or rapid growth such as puberty - stretch marks (striae distensae) can form.
Eucerin Skin Care Oil has been specially developed for the needs of dry and sensitive skin prone to stretch marks and is ideal for use during and after pregnancy. It contains pure, natural vitamin E and high quality pure plant oils - Sunflower Seed, Jojoba and Almond - rich in linoleic acid, an unsaturated fatty acid that strengthens the skin's natural barrier function.
The oil is easy to massage in and is quickly absorbed. Its application with regular massage stimulates blood circulation, improves skin elasticity and visibly reduces the appearance of stretch marks. The skin is smooth, soft, silky and pleasantly scented.

Key findings
30 women (aged 18-35) participated in an efficacy and tolerability study*. All of them had given birth between 6 and 12 months before the start of the study and had stretch marks. They applied the product twice a day to a defined area of the abdomen with 10 minutes of massage, and the study lasted 6 months. The results were clinically evaluated and revealed :
- a significant decrease in stretch marks on the treated area
- a significant decrease in the scar area
- excellent skin compatibility
The research concluded that Eucerin Skin Care Oil can be recommended as an effective and well-tolerated product for the daily care of sensitive skin with stretch marks.

Instructions for use
Apply the oil twice a day to the appropriate areas. Massage gently in circular motions until completely absorbed.
Dermatologists and midwives recommend pinch massage**:
- for the abdomen: take folds of skin between your thumbs and forefingers, lift them up and pinch them between your fingers. Then release them quickly.
- For the chest: Start with small circular movements around the contour of your chest and then continue inwards with spiral movements without touching the nipples. Move the skin and stretch the underlying tissue to promote circulation.
For best results, massage your skin twice a day for 5 to 10 minutes each time.
**N.B.. If you are prone to premature contractions, please consult your gynaecologist/midwife for general advice before massaging your breasts or tummy. If your belly becomes hard or if you feel contractions while massaging, stop massaging and inform your gynaecologist or midwife.

The combination of sunflower, jojoba and almond oils is rich in linoleic acid, an unsaturated fatty acid that is not produced by the human body. In contrast to the frequently used oleic acid, linoleic acid strengthens the skin's natural barrier function, limiting its insensible water loss and protecting it from irritants. In addition, pure vitamin E acts as a natural radical scavenger, eliminating harmful free radicals.
