With this high quality scarf made of pure baby alpaca wool any weather can come! Alpaca wool is three times warmer than normal sheep's wool and so pleasantly fine that even cold days become a sensual experience.
Royal Knit products are made of the purest baby alpaca wool and carry the beauty of the Peruvian high mountains within them. Alpaca wool, with its cashmere-like feel, is one of the finest and warmest natural fibres and was once reserved for the Inca kings. All Royal Knit products are handmade and are based on handicrafts passed down from generation to generation, combined with innovative techniques. The workers are informed about new trends and supported in their further education.
Royal Knit was founded in the 1970s by Caritas helpers Benita and Sebastian in Puno (Peru) as an entrepreneurial self-help organisation to support local small producers in marketing their knitted and woven home textiles. Later, the business was transferred to the Peruvian Lopez family, in whose responsibility it is still today. Meanwhile the company employs around 300 weavers. Thanks to a sense of social responsibility, constant innovation and modern design, Royal Knit has become a fair trade success story. Since 2012 Royal Knit has been WFTO certified.
