Lancel - Daliscretion Jacquard Handtasche

Ever since Lancel’s founding in 1876, creative design has been at the heart of the Maison Lancel. From the umbrella bag of the 1920s through the glass pearl Charleston bag in 1960 and the Brigitte Bardot Collection in 2010, the goal has been to ally functionality with iconic style. Many of the key models in this collection make reference to vintage bags from the 30s, 40s, and 50s: classic silhouettes that are the epitome of Parisian style. The marriage of these iconic forms and the Daligramme motif expresses Lancel’s fundamental values: bold design enlivened by French Légèreté, classics with a twist, an irreverence manifested in whimsical design choices.

Inspired by Lancel's timeless Delice, this hobo bag is made of embroidered Jacquard canvas and vegetal leather. It is lined in lobster-orange suede microfiber.

Embroidered into an Italian Jacquard weave by Florentine artisans, using a technique similar to that pioneered in the 17th century at the Manufacture des Gobelins Royal Workshops, the symbols of the Daligramme have a textured aspect, as if they were actual three-dimensional objects. The fabric is a magnificent weave of fourteen distinct colors to achieve classic neutral tone, which changes shades depending on the light. To better withstand the lifestyle of today’s active woman, the luxurious natural cotton fibers are blended with a synthetic polymer to provide a waterproof finish.
